Parliament votes on the 3rd runway on Wednesday, and between now and then Greenpeace is targeting Labour MPs. 57 of them signed an EDM against airport expansion last autumn, so the plan is to encourage those 57 to be consistent and vote against the third runway too. It’s not a binding vote but opposition from Labour MPs would still send a strong message to the government – do like Emma Thompson says and take action at the Greenpeace website.

Perhaps you should be charitable enough to point out that the only reason that Parliament will vote on this issue at all is because the Conservatives have handed over one of their opposition days to allow the debate to take place. If the Labour Government had their way, there would be no vote at all…
